A Peeping Tom tragically fell to his death in Jhansi, and one person has been arrested on alleged murder charges in connection with the incident.

A 26-year-old man tragically fell to his death on Monday while allegedly attempting to peep on a woman bathing in a neighboring terrace in the old city area falling under the Kotwali jurisdiction.

The victim, identified as Manjur Khan, reportedly slipped and fell from the terrace while trying to escape after being protested by the woman’s son, Sonu. Manjur was initially taken to the district hospital and later referred to Jhansi Medical College, where he was declared dead. Following the incident,

Manjur’s family accused Sonu of deliberately causing his death due to an old enmity. The police are currently investigating the matter in the Kotwali area of the old city.

The police have filed a complaint against Sonu under relevant sections and subsequently arrested him. City SP Gyanendra Kumar Singh stated, “Preliminary investigations suggest that Manjur, who was a drug addict, was peeping while Sonu’s mother was bathing.

When Sonu raised objections, Manjur attempted to escape and tragically slipped from the terrace, resulting in his death. Nevertheless, we have registered a case based on the complaint filed by Manjur’s family members and have taken Sonu into custody. Further investigation into the matter is ongoing.”
