Bail for Omar Ayub, Barrister Gohar, and other PTI leaders has been approved.

Interim bail for Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) leaders Omar Ayub Khan, Amir Dogar, Party Chairman Barrister Gohar Ali Khan, and others has been approved until May 7 in a case related to a PTI rally in Islamabad, as reported by ARY News.

During the hearing of the bail plea filed by PTI leaders, District and Sessions Judge Awais Ahmed Khan presided over the proceedings. The PTI counsel informed the court that the administration had registered a baseless and false case against the party leaders. He further stated that whenever PTI organizes a peaceful rally, cases are unfairly lodged against them.

In response, the district and sessions court approved the interim bail of PTI leaders against surety bonds worth Rs 5000 each. Earlier, the interim bail of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) leader Omar Ayub Khan was extended in a vandalism case.

Speaking to reporters, Omar Ayub claimed that 95 ‘fake’ cases had been registered against him under sections of murder, attempted murder, and terrorism. He demanded the release of all PTI workers, including the former prime minister.

It is noteworthy that Omar Ayub also called for the establishment of an independent commission to investigate the events surrounding the May 9 riots, during which public and military installations were vandalized.
